I will be exhibiting at Cape & Cowl Con, August 30 in Alameda, California. I’m sharing a table with a couple excellent cartoonist friends, Tammy Stellanova and Sophie Yanow. No hi will go unanswered.
This one is less about me: my friend Frederick Noland is touring for his amazing new book Major Taylorand I have the privelege of interviewing him at Pegasus Books in Berkeley, California on September 22. It’s a blockbuster book tour, but I suspect we can squeeze in a hi or two anyway.
My bike comics collection Out Riding Bikes You See Things is still piping-hot and fresh and available. When you order one I’m pretty sure there’s a form field into which you can type hi.

Finally, here are some gaming miniatures I painted recently. This is a true zone out and relax activity and part of no larger project. I don’t even play miniatures games (yet?) and have no use for them other than to soothe via the satisfying production of toys.
This crab guy is what’s known as a kitbash, in which parts from different sources are stuck together to make a custom model. The crab itself was from a Dollar Tree bag of sea animal toys. I then bulked it up with putty, baking soda, and glue before sticking on the heads from various war gaming models.
My minicomic sending up aggro backyard hummingbirds, Hell-Bent for Nectar, is back in print and available here. A perfect little comic book morsel for the hummingbird lover/hater in your life.
